In line with the Government's announcement to resume public services gradually, a spokesman for the Marine Department (MD) announced today (March 31) that the licensing and port formalities services at the Yau Ma Tei Marine Office, the Tai Po Marine Office, the Cheung Chau Marine Office and the Shau Kei Wan Marine Office will resume starting from tomorrow (April 1) after the temporary suspension of services since February 7.
For the seafarers' examination and certification services, the MD from tomorrow will contact the candidates whose examination dates have been affected and notify them of the updated examination dates in phases. Online booking service for examinations will resume starting from April 21. Suitable adjustments will be made to the examination arrangements in accordance with the infection control measures implemented.
