List of doctors providing services during Christmas and New Year holidays uploaded to Primary Care Directory

â€‹The Food and Health Bureau (FHB) announced today (December 20) that a list containing the practice information of enrolled primary care doctors who are going to provide services during the Christmas and New Year holidays has been uploaded to the Primary Care Directory website to assist members of the public who may be in need of medical consultation service.

Starting from today, members of the public can browse the list on the Directory website (www.pcdirectory.gov.hk) until January 1, 2022.

The Directory is a web-based database providing practice information of primary care providers in the community. Members of the public may, based on personal needs, make use of the details contained therein, including opening hours, practice addresses, services provided, and whether a service provider has joined any of the government primary care enhancement programmes (such as the Elderly Health Care Voucher Scheme, the Vaccination Subsidy Scheme, the Colorectal Cancer Screening Programme and the District Health Centre Scheme), to search for suitable doctors, dentists and Chinese medicine practitioners. Enrolled primary care providers are required to participate in continuing professional education related to their profession, and commit to the provision of comprehensive, continuous, co-ordinated and person-centred primary care services.

An FHB spokesman said that the Directory is conducive to promoting primary care services based on the family doctor concept. The Government encourages service providers who are interested in participating in government primary care enhancement programmes to enrol in the Directory as soon as possible. Enrolled service providers are also reminded to update their practice information in the Directory in a timely manner.

More information on primary care can be found on the website of the Primary Healthcare Office (www.fhb.gov.hk/pho).
