The Leisure and Cultural Services Department (LCSD) announced today (October 12) that Lion Rock Park in Wong Tai Sin District will be reopened at 9am tomorrow (October 13).
While the Centre for Health Protection (CHP) of the Department of Health issued a letter to local doctors on October 10 saying that the local dengue fever outbreak is considered to have ended, the LCSD and the Food and Environmental Hygiene Department inspected the park today and were satisfied with the hygienic situation and mosquito control work at the park. It is considered that the park is now ready for reopening for public use.
The park has been temporarily closed since August 17 upon the advice of CHP to prevent the spread of dengue fever infection.
