LegCo to debate motion on formulating new mechanism for importing non-locally trained doctors
The following is issued on behalf of the Legislative Council Secretariat:
The Legislative Council (LegCo) will hold a meeting tomorrow (November 18) at 11am in the Chamber of the LegCo Complex. During the meeting, Members will debate a motion on formulating a new mechanism for importing non-locally trained doctors. The motion, moved by Mr Tommy Cheung, is set out in Appendix 1.
Mr Luk Chung-hung will move a motion on alleviating road traffic congestion. The motion is set out in Appendix 2. Mr Chan Han-pan will move an amendment to Mr Luk's motion.
Meanwhile, Ms Starry Lee, Mr Wong Ting-kwong and Mrs Regina Ip will move three separate proposed resolutions under section 34(4) of the Interpretation and General Clauses Ordinance to extend the period for amending subsidiary legislations. The proposed resolutions are set out in Appendices 3-5 respectively.
Members will also ask the Government 20 questions on various policy areas, five of which require oral replies.
