The Leisure and Cultural Services Department (LCSD) will live-stream the interactive multimedia physical theatre production "Techno Circus" by Japanese art troupe SIRO-A in January next year in its "Cheers!" Series, offering an energetic and exciting performance for Hong Kong audiences.

In the programme, four members of SIRO-A will interact, dance and make comedic body movements with video mapping and projection of ingenious design, as well as light animation and pulsating electro beats, to present innovative and breathtaking optical illusions with sound and light.

SIRO-A was founded in 2002. Its creative concept derives from a collaboration between technology and humans, fusing techno music, groundbreaking visual effects and amusing body movements to deliver innovative performances to audiences. The group has toured Germany, the United States, Denmark, Austria, Switzerland and France. It has also received the Spirit of the Fringe Award at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe and Best Circus/Speciality Act of the London Cabaret Awards.

"Cheers!" Series: "Techno Circus" will be staged at 7.30pm on January 15, 2022 (Saturday), and 3pm on January 16, 2022 (Sunday), at the Studio Theatre of the Hong Kong Cultural Centre. Tickets priced at $180 are now available at URBTIX (www.urbtix.hk). For telephone credit card bookings, please call 2111 5999.      All persons are required to use the "LeaveHomeSafe" mobile application to scan the venue QR code before they are allowed to enter LCSD offices and venues, except for exempted persons who are aged below 12 or aged 65 or above and those with disabilities that render use of the app difficult. Exemptions will also be granted to individual persons depending on the actual circumstances. All exempted persons are required to complete a record form to register their personal particulars and the date and time of their visit. As it will take time to verify personal particulars of exempted persons under the new arrangement, their waiting time for using public services or entering the relevant venues may be lengthened. The LCSD suggests that members of the public should arrive early and appeals for their understanding. The department also encourages the exempted persons to use the app as far as possible to save time.
