LCSD imposes further restriction on dancing activities

     The Leisure and Cultural Services Department (LCSD) announced today (November 25) that the following anti-epidemic measures will be introduced in view of the latest situation of COVID-19.

     Starting from tomorrow (November 26), processing of application for dancing activities in indoor facilities managed by the LCSD , except rehearsals before performances, will be suspended. From November 28 (Saturday), dancing activities, except rehearsals before performances, will be temporarily prohibited in these indoor facilities until further notice. Besides, all users of dance rooms, activity rooms, multi-purpose rooms and fitness rooms managed by the LCSD have to wear face masks at all times from this Friday (November 27) except when the person is playing designated sports as specified in Cap 599F gazette notice.

     For recreation and sports programmes, with effect from November 28, LCSD will suspend the enrolment for dancing activities as well as cancelling all dance training courses and fun days. Full or partial refund will be arranged for affected participants of paid activities.

      Regarding cultural venues, all museums, including the Hong Kong Science Museum and the Hong Kong Space Museum, will temporarily suspend some of their interactive exhibits and all children facilities. All museums will continue to apply visitor quotas.

     For refund arrangements in relation to these measures, the hirer may submit a completed refund application form together with the original booking permit to the LCSD booking office at a District Leisure Services Office or to relevant leisure venues in person or by post. The application form can be downloaded from www.lcsd.gov.hk/en/aboutlcsd/forms/refund.html. For performance venues, staff of facility booking section at related venues will contact affected hirers for rescheduling or refund.
    
     The LCSD will continue to monitor the situation closely and review the arrangements in a timely manner.
