LCSD highly concerned about metal gate collapse accident at Tsuen Wan West Sports Centre

     â€‹The Leisure and Cultural Services Department (LCSD) is highly concerned about a metal gate collapse accident that happened around 7pm on June 15 at Tsuen Wan West Sports Centre. During the accident, a 67-year-old male cleaning worker was injured and a private car parked nearby was damaged. The LCSD has informed the Architectural Services Department (ArchSD) immediately after the accident for assistance and investigation.

     The injured person is an outsourced cleaning worker of the LCSD. He was injured by the collapsed metal gate when working at Tsuen Wan West Sports Centre shortly after 7pm on June 15. He was sent to Yan Chai Hospital by ambulance in conscious state.

     The LCSD is highly concerned about the accident and extends sympathies to the injured worker. ArchSD officers sped to the scene for assistance and investigation. The LCSD has requested the ArchSD to conduct a thorough inspection of similar metal gates under the management of the LCSD.
