Latest arrangements for HAD services

     ​In view of the latest situation of the COVID-19 epidemic, the Home Affairs Department (HAD) announced today (April 1) its service arrangements from April 4. The details are set out below.

     The Office of the Licensing Authority will reopen between 10am and 5pm from Monday to Friday (except public holidays). Any licensing application in connection with hotels, guesthouses and other premises as well as entertainment can also be submitted by post or by using e-submission. Application forms and submission details can be found on the website of the Office of the Licensing Authority: www.hadla.gov.hk.

     The Home Affairs Enquiry Centres in 18 districts and the HAD's Estate Beneficiaries Support Unit will remain closed. Members of the public may make a prior appointment for administration of a declaration/oath for private use and for inspection of bank deposit boxes using the telephone numbers provided in notices posted in district offices and published on the HAD's website: www.had.gov.hk.

     All community halls and community centres, except when being used as temporary cold shelters, temporary shelters for emergency situations or for anti-epidemic work, will also remain closed.

     ​The operating hours for the HAD's enquiry hotline (2835 2500), the hotline for home confinees coming back from outside Hong Kong (2835 1473) and the 24-hour hotline set up under the "StayHomeSafe" Scheme (1833 019) will remain unchanged.
