Latest arrangements for EMSD public services
In view of the latest developments of COVID-19 epidemic, the Electrical and Mechanical Services Department (EMSD) announced today (July 24) that the Registration and Permit Office at its Kowloon Bay headquarters will continue to be closed until further notice. During the period, the public can still drop their applications, with cheques for payment within office hours (on Monday to Friday from 9am to 5.15pm) at the collection box located on ground floor at the EMSD headquarters, 3 Kai Shing Street, Kowloon Bay. However, the EMSD appeals to the public to minimise visiting its headquarters in person unless necessary, and consider submitting their applications, with cheques for payment to the above mentioned address by post. Applicants would be notified on the results by phone or mail.
The EMSD Gallery and the EMSD Education Path at its headquarters will continue to be closed.
Due to the special work arrangements, the public are advised to file requests for service by email. The EMSD apologises for the longer handling time. Members of the public should wear surgical masks at all times during their visit to the EMSD headquarters, and comply with the infection control measures including temperature checks and crowd control arrangements.
The EMSD will continue to monitor the situation closely and review the arrangements in a timely manner. For enquiries, please call 2333 3762 or email to info@emsd.gov.hk.
