Latest arrangement on DH’s clinics and service units in view of HA’s designated clinics

     The Department of Health (DH) today (March 14) announced that in view of more designated clinics to be activated by the Hospital Authority (HA) tomorrow (March 15), some clinics and service units under the DH which are situated at the same locations with the designated clinics will be temporarily closed or will suspend public services from tomorrow onwards, having regard to infection control considerations.

     The clinics and service units are Yuen Long Elderly Health Centre (EHC), Shek Kip Mei Chest Clinic and Red Ribbon Centre. The DH will contact and make separate arrangements for affected users with prior appointments. The service adjustment is as follows:

  • Yuen Long EHC located in 26 Sai Ching Street, Yuen Long, will be temporarily closed. Booked medical consultation services for members as well as walk-in vaccination service with the CoronaVac vaccine for persons aged 65 or above will be temporarily relocated to Tuen Mun Wu Hong EHC located in 2 Wu Hong Street, Tuen Mun. Elderly persons with booked appointments to receive the second dose of CoronaVac vaccination at Yuen Long EHC can receive the vaccination on the scheduled date at Tuen Mun Wu Hong EHC or other EHCs which are still in operation. Please visit www.elderly.gov.hk/eindex.html for details;
  • Shek Kip Mei Chest Clinic located in 2 Berwick Street, Shek Kip Mei, will be temporarily closed. Patients can receive relevant services at Yaumatei Chest Clinic or Kowloon Chest Clinic instead. Those who are receiving "directly observed treatment" service can visit the above or other chest clinics. Please visit www.info.gov.hk/tb_chest/en/index.htm for details; and
  • All public services of the Red Ribbon Centre located at 200 Junction Road East, Wang Tau Hom, will be suspended. Members of the public can visit www.rrc.gov.hk/english/index.html for online resources.

     While other clinics and service units under the DH may not be affected by the activation of HA's designated clinics, the routes for entry and exit may be adjusted. Visitors should pay attention to the on-site arrangements and follow staff's instructions. Information on DH's clinics and service units is available at www.dh.gov.hk/english/index.html.
