The Department of Health (DH) today (February 15) announced that in view of the designated clinics to be activated by the Hospital Authority (HA) tomorrow (February 16), some clinics and service units under the DH which are situated at the same locations with the designated clinics will be temporarily closed or will adjust services from tomorrow onwards having regard to infection control for a more effective segregation of patients and other users, so as to minimise the risk of virus transmission.
The clinics and service units are Victoria Road Dental Clinic, Robert Black Maternal and Child Health Centre (MCHC), San Po Kong Elderly Health Centre (EHC), Robert Black Methadone Clinic and Shau Kei Wan EHC. The DH will contact and make separate arrangements for affected users with prior appointments who have provided contact details. The service adjustment is as follows:
– The Victoria Road Dental Clinic located in 45 Victoria Road will be temporarily closed from tomorrow and its services will be relocated to Sai Ying Pun Dental Clinic 3/F located in 134 Queen's Road West, Sai Ying Pun;
– The Robert Black MCHC located in 600 Prince Edward Road East, San Po Kong will be temporarily closed from tomorrow and its antenatal service will be relocated to Kowloon City MCHC located in 42 Bailey Street, Hung Hom tomorrow. Other services will be relocated to East Kowloon MCHC located in 160 Hammer Hill Road, Diamond Hill from February 21 (Monday). Clients who require service before next Monday will be temporarily managed in other MCHCs;
– The San Po Kong EHC located in 600 Prince Edward Road East, San Po Kong will be temporarily closed from tomorrow. Booked medical consultation services for members will be temporarily relocated to Kowloon City EHC located in 80 Hau Wong Road, Kowloon City. The walk-in vaccination service with the CoronaVac vaccine for persons aged 65 or above will be temporarily relocated to Kowloon City Lions Clubs Student Health Service Centre located in 80 Hau Wong Road, Kowloon City;
– The Robert Black Methadone Clinic located in 600 Prince Edward Road East, San Po Kong will be temporarily closed from tomorrow. Users can visit other methadone clinics across all districts. The operating hours of nearby clinic will be extended and details will be available at www.dh.gov.hk/english/tele/tele_chc/tele_chc_mc.html; and
– The Shau Kei Wan EHC located in 8 Chai Wan Road, Shau Kei Wan will continue to provide walk-in vaccination service with the CoronaVac vaccine for persons aged 65 or above, while booked medical consultation services for members will be temporarily relocated to Wan Chai EHC located in 130 Hennessy Road, Wan Chai from tomorrow.
While other clinics and service units under the DH will not be affected by the activation of HA's designated clinics, the routes for entry and exit may be adjusted.
