The Judiciary today (November 14) announced the appointment of Miss Vivian Lee Wai-wan as a Permanent Magistrate. The appointment is made by the Chief Executive on the recommendation of the Judicial Officers Recommendation Commission. It will take effect on November 15, 2022.
The biographical note of Miss Lee is as follows:
Miss Lee was born in Hong Kong. She obtained a Bachelor of Business Administration degree and an LL.B. from Macquarie University in Australia in 2004 and a Graduate Diploma in Legal Professional Practice from the College of Law, Sydney, in Australia in 2005. She further acquired an LL.M. from the University of Sydney in Australia in 2006 and a P.C.LL. from The University of Hong Kong in 2008. She was admitted as a Solicitor of the Supreme Court of New South Wales, Australia, in 2006. She was called to the Bar in Hong Kong in 2009 and has been in private practice in Hong Kong from the same year.
