Union Tourism Minister Shri Prahlad Singh Patel launches multilingual Incredible India website in New Delhi

The Minister of State (IC) for Tourism & Culture, Shri Prahlad Singh Patel launched the multilingual Incredible India website in New Delhi today. The website is currently hosted in English and Hindi is now launched in Chinese, Arabic and Spanish to attract tourists from these regions.

Income Tax Department conducts search on a group of individuals, hawala dealers and businessmen in Raipur

On 27.02.2020, Income Tax Department conducted a search on a group of individuals, hawala dealers and businessmen in Raipur. The search action was mounted on the basis of credible inputs, intelligence and evidence of generation of huge unaccounted cash from liquor and mining business and transfer of the same to public servants, huge cash deposits during demonetization period, accommodation entries from shell companies, undisclosed investment in properties etc.  Subsequently, based on evidences found during search, a few other premises were also covered in consequential actions.

In the interest of farmers, Government permits export of onions w.e.f 15th March

The Government has permitted export of onions with effect from 15th March, 2020. Directorate General of Foreign Trade, Department of Commerce today issued a notification in this regard. The notification says that Onions, which were in the “prohibited” category as per the present policy, will be under the category “free” in the revised policy.

Shri Nityanand Rai presides over the 8th Foundation Day of Land Ports Authority of India

Union Minister of State for Home Affairs, Shri Nityanand Rai, presided over as Chief Guest at the 8th Foundation Day of the Land Ports Authority of India (LPAI), celebrated in New Delhi today.

 

In his address, the Minister complimented the LPAI for the excellent work done in building border infrastructure for facilitation of cross border trade and travel on India’s land borders.

The Minister of State (IC) for Tourism & Culture, Shri Prahlad Singh Patel will launch the multilingual Incredible India website in New Delhi tomorrow. The launch event will witness participation by key stakeholders of tourism industry, foreign ambassadors, foreign correspondents, major associations among others .

Incredible India website, the flagship project launched by Ministry of Tourism, is a promotional website with an aim to project India as a ‘must-visit’ destination across the globe.
