Statement by Dr Sekhar Basu, Chairman Atomic Energy Commission and Secretary, Department of Atomic Energy at the 61<sup>st</sup> IAEA General Conference

I would take this opportunity to convey on behalf of the people of India, and the Government of India the warmest greetings to the International Atomic Energy Agency and the Member States on the occasion of 61st General Conference.

MoS Dr Jitendra Singh inaugurates first ‘Pension Adalat’ today

The Union Minister of State (Independent Charge) Development of North-Eastern Region (DoNER), MoS PMO, Personnel, Public Grievances & Pensions, Atomic Energy and Space, Dr Jitendra Singh inaugurated the first ‘Pension Adalat’ here today at the Pre-Retirement Counselling Workshop organised by the Department of Pension & Pensioners’ Welfare, Ministry of Personnel, Public Grievances and Pensions, Government of India.

Hon’ble Agriculture and Farmers Welfare Minister ShriRadha Mohan Singh addressed representatives at e-NAM review meeting at Krishi Bhawan, New Delhi.

Significant progress has been made by most of the states with regards to implementation of e-NAM. Uttar Pradesh and Madhya Pradesh deserve appreciation for their work in this regard. Chhattisgarh and Telangana are already making headway.

Petroleum Minister visits Kazakhstan for co-chairing the 13<sup>th</sup> Inter-Governmental Commission meeting

Union Minister of Petroleum and Natural Gas & Skill Development & Entrepreneurship, Shri Dharmendra Pradhan, led a delegation to Astana, Kazakhstan from 19-20 September 2017 to co-chair the 13th meeting of the India-Kazakhstan Inter-Governmental Commission (IGC). Mr. Kanat Bozumbayev, Minister of Energy of Republic of Kazakhstan co-chaired the meeting from Kazakh side.
