Update on COVID-19: Advisories and Guidelines for Containment and Prevention

Cabinet Secretary took a review meeting of concerned officials from various Ministries/Departments, here today. During the meeting, he emphasized on the implementation of Social Distancing measures as detailed by guidelines of Ministry of Health and Family Welfare.

Ensuring Rights of Consumers

The existing Consumer Protection Act, 1986 provide for protection of the rights of the consumers. Under the provisions of the said Act, a three tier quasi-judicial mechanism, called Consumer Fora, has been established at the District, State and National levels to provide simple, inexpensive and speedy redressal to consumer disputes.

PM to participate in the birth centenary celebrations of ‘Jatir Pita’ Bangabandhu, Sheikh Mujibur Rahman, tomorrow via video message

The Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi shall participate in the 100th Birth Anniversary celebrations of ‘Jatir Pita’ Bangabandhu, Sheikh Mujibur Rahman, in Bangladesh tomorrow via video message.

Due to COVID-19, the events planned for March 17 in Bangladesh will be without any public gatherings.

Ministry of Tourism has identified 17 sites across the countryto developthem as Iconic Tourist Sites: Shri Prahlad Singh Patel

Pursuant to the Budget Announcements of year 2018-19 and year 2019-20 Ministry of Tourism has identified 17 sites in 12 clusters in the country for development as Iconic Tourist Sites namely Taj Mahal & Fatehpur Sikri (Uttar Pradesh), Ajanta & Ellora (Maharashtra), Humayun?s Tomb, Red Fort & Qutub Minar (Delhi), Colva (Goa), Amer Fort (Rajasthan), Somnath & Dholavira (Gujarat),  Khajuraho (Madhya Pradesh), Hampi (Karnataka),  Mahabalipuram (Tamil Nadu), Kaziranga (Assam), Kumarakom (Kerala) and Mahabodhi Temple (Bihar).
