Legendary tennis player Vijay Amritraj here today called on the Union Minister of State (I/C) for Youth Affairs and Sports Vijay Goel. During their meeting, Amritraj expressed his desire to boost tennis in India and also help the government to work together in promotion of sports and talent search.

The Revenue Secretary, Government of India, Dr. Hasmukh Adhia will leave on a four day visit to North East on Thursday, 13th April, 2017 in order to review the preparedness of the North East Region for the Goods and Services Tax (GST) which is estimated to be rolled-out from 1st July, 2017. This will be the First visit of the Revenue Secretary of this region after passing-out of GST related legislations by the Parliament.
