An Indian Air Force Mi-17 V5 helicopter crashed near Kedarnath at 0810h on 03 April 18. The helicopter was undertaking a State Government task from Guptkashi to Kedarnath. The accident happened during the landing phase, near the helipad.

The Union Minister of Human Resource Development, Shri Prakash Javadekar, released the NIRF India Rankings 2018 in various categories on the basis of performance of Higher Educational Institutions in a programme held in New Delhi today.

Noticing the increasing instances of fake news in various mediums including print and electronic media, the Government has amended the Guidelines for Accreditation of Journalists. Now on receiving any complaints of such instances of fake news, the same would get referred to the Press Council of India (PCI) if it pertains to print media & to News Broadcasters Association (NBA) if it relates to electronic media, for determination of the news item being fake or not.

Determination is expected to be completed within 15 days by these regulating agencies.

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 247 read with sections 458, 459 and 469 of the Companies Act, 2013 (18 of 2013), the Central Government, vide Gazette Notification dated 18th October, 2017, published the Companies (Registered Valuers and Valuation) Rules, 2017 (hereafter ‘Rules’).

As per decision of the GST Council, e-Way Bill system became mandatory from today i.e. 01st April, 2018 for all inter-State movement of goods.
