The Prime Minister, Shri Narendra Modi, today dedicated the Kishanganga Hydropower Station to the nation at a function in Srinagar. 

He also laid the foundation stone of the Srinagar Ring Road. 

Addressing the gathering, the Prime Minister recalled the various occasions in the past four years when he had visited the State of Jammu and Kashmir.

Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi inaugurated Kishanganga Hydroelectric Project and laid the Foundation Stone of the Pakal Dul Power Project in Jammu & Kashmir today. Pakal Dul, with 1000 MW capacity, will be the largest Hydro Power Project in Jammu & Kashmir on completion.

The President of India, Shri Ram Nath Kovind, will visit Punjab (Mohali) and Himachal Pradesh from May 20 to 24, 2018. During his Himachal Pradesh visit (May 20-24), the President will stay at The Retreat in Mashobra near Shimla.

The Appointments Committee of the Cabinet has approved the following appointments:

(i)     (a)    Shri Binoy Kumar, IAS (TG:83), Special Secretary, Logistics, Department of Commerce as Officer on Special Duty in the Ministry of Steel.
