Ministry of AYUSH had issued an advisory on various immunity enhancing steps from the time tested approaches of Ayurveda. The advisory is reiterated again in these testing times to support the efforts of all as a measure towards enhancing ones immunity.

Shri Dharmendra Pradhan, Minister of Petroleum and Natural Gas and Steel, participated in the G20 Extraordinary Energy Ministers’ virtual Meeting on 10th April 2020. The meeting was called by Saudi Arabia, in its capacity as the G20 Presidency, and chaired by Saudi Arabia Energy Minister Prince Abdulaziz.

Government of India is taking several steps along with the States/UTs for the prevention, containment and management of COVID-19 in the country. These are being regularly reviewed and monitored at the highest level.

The Government has approved the proposal for grant of life insurance cover to 1,08,714 workers and officers of the Food Corporation of India (FCI) including 80,000 labour who are working 24×7 to supply food grains across the country amidst the outbreak of Coronavirus pandemic.

In the context of Covid-19 situation, considering the immediate requirement of ventilators and other items,the Central Government has granted exemption from Basic Customs Duty and Health cess, on the import of the following goods, with immediate effect:

Ventilators,
Face masks, surgical Masks,
Personal protection equipment (PPE)
Covid-19 test kits
inputs for manufacture of the aboveitems

This basic customs duty exemption shall be available upto the 30th September, 2020.
