The capital of Uttrakhand, Dehradun will host the main mega event of this year’s International Day of Yoga on 21st June 2018 and the event will be led by the Prime Minister, Shri Narendra Modi . This was formally announced by Shri Vaidya Rajesh Kotecha, Secretary, Ministry of AYUSH today.

The Union Minister of State for Development of North Eastern Region (I/C), Prime Minister’s Office, Personnel, Public Grievances & Pensions, Atomic Energy and Space, Dr. Jitendra Singh said that Andhra Pradesh received a benefit of Rs 2,25,000 crore Central assistance plus funding for several institutions and projects.

The Vice President, Shri M. Venkaiah Naidu today said that the committee he had set up to review and revisit the Rules of Procedure and Business of Rajya Sabha for smooth functioning of the House is likely to submit its interim report next month.

Ministry of Railways conducted a one day workshop “Mission Raftaar” aimed at raising the average speed of freight trains and coaching trains in New Delhi.  The workshop was inaugurated by Shri Rajen Gohain, Minister of State for Railways & Shri Ashwani Lohani, Chairman,Railway Board.

The existing Hotline mechanism was initiated by Pakistan’s DGMO at 1800 hours (IST). Both the DGsMO reviewed the prevailing situation along the Line of Control and International Border in J&K. Indian Army DGMO agreed with the proposal to undertake sincere measures to improve the existing situation to ensure peace and avoidance of hardships to the civilians along the borders.
