Prime Minister Narendra Modi today said that the success and milestones achieved by the Swachh Bharat Mission has been possible due to the efforts and participation by the citizens across the country.

The Union Minister of State for Social Justice and Empowerment, Shri Vijay Sampla stressed the need to inspire more girls to take up the field of Photo Journalism as  the Photo Journalists play a significant role in depicting the reality in a natural way.

He was addressing the Photo Journalists after inauguratinga  three day Photo Exhibition  on ‘Beti Bachao, Beti Padhao  campaign, Swachh Bharat Abhiyan and Khelo India Khelo’ in  Chandigarh today  organised by The Photo Journalists Welfare Association.

The Minister for Civil Aviation Shri Suresh Prabhu has said that the Kannur airport will be provided with all possible help to make it fully operational by September this year. After meeting with Kerala Chief Minister Shri Pinarayi Vijayan, Shri Prabhu has directed Chairman, Airport Authority of India and other officials from the Ministry to take all possible steps to make Kannur Airport as a point of call for foreign airlines.

The Further Fund Offer (FFO) of Bharat 22 Exchange Traded Fund (ETF), managed through ICICI Prudential Fund was successfully launched by the Government of India in pursuance of its disinvestment policy targeting an initial amount of Rs.6,000 crore.
