Ministry of Railways likely to substantially increase the vacancies of Assistant Loco Pilots & Technicians from 26502 posts to about 60,000 posts

Ministry of Railways had earlier announced the recruitment for Assistant Loco Pilots (ALP) & Technicians for 26502 posts in February 2018. More than 47 lakh candidates have applied for ALP & Technicians Examination against CEN 01/2018.

Nationwide ‘State Energy Efficiency Preparedness Index’ released; Andhra Pradesh, Kerala, Maharashtra, Punjab, and Rajasthan emerge as ‘Front Runner’ states

As part of its commitment to create awareness about energy efficiency as a resource and also to develop an action plan for energy conservation initiatives, Bureau of Energy Efficiency (BEE) and Alliance for an Energy Efficient Economy (AEEE), today released the ‘State Energy Efficiency Preparedness Index’, which assesses state policies and programmes aimed at improving energy efficiency across various sectors.

The President of India, Shri Ram Nath Kovind, presented the Outstanding Parliamentarian Award for the years 2013-2017 today (August 1, 2018) in New Delhi.

Speaking on the occasion, the President congratulated all those being conferred with the Outstanding Parliamentarian Award – Smt Najma Heptulla, Shri Hukmdev Narayan Yadav, Shri Ghulam Nabi Azad, Shri Dinesh Trivedi and Shri Bhartruhari Mahtab.
