Union Home Minister addresses IPS probationers; calls for specialization in policing

The Union Home Minister Shri Rajnath Singh has called for specialization in policing to provide world class services to the people. Addressing the Indian Police Service (IPS) probationers of 2017 batch here today, he said that law enforcement agencies should stress upon the need to give special training to police officers as per their area of interest to enhance professional skills and capabilities.

PM visits Haryana, unveils statue of Sir Chhotu Ram, lays Foundation Stone of Rail Coach Refurbishing Karkhana

The Prime Minister, Shri Narendra Modi, visited Sampla, Rohtak in Haryana today.

He unveiled a statue of Deenbandhu Sir Chhotu Ram. At a public meeting, the Prime Minister unveiled a plaque to mark the laying of Foundation Stone of the Rail Coach Refurbishing Karkhana, Sonepat.

Cdr Abhilash Tomy, KC reaches Visakhapatnam safely

Commander Abhilash Tomy who was under medical observation at Ile Amsterdam was brought to Visakhapatnam safely onboard INS Satpura on 06 October 18. Vice Adm Karambir Singh FOC-in-C ENC briefly interacted with Cdr Tomy and enquired about his health condition and the rescue operation.
