India-Japan Vision Statement

Prime Minister of India H.E. Shri Narendra Modi visited Japan on October 28-29, 2018 for the India-Japan Annual Summit with Prime Minister of Japan H.E. Mr. Shinzo Abe. During the visit, recognizing the unparalleled potential for development of relations between the two countries, Prime Minister Modi and Prime Minister Abe reviewed the significant milestones achieved over the last four years and outlined the following shared vision for the future of India-Japan relations:

 

The India-Japan Special Strategic and Global Partnership, firmly rooted in history and based on common values is the mainspring for advancing the two countries’ shared strategic objectives and achieving peace, prosperity and progress to realize a better future for the people of the two countries.

President of India to visit Himachal Pradesh on October 29 and 30

The President of India, Shri Ram Nath Kovind, will visit Himachal Pradesh on October 29 and 30, 2018. 

On October 29, 2018, the President will grace the first convocation of Dr Rajendra Prasad Government Medical College in Kangra.

Goods and Services Tax Council – Journey so far;

Till date, the Goods and Services Tax ( GST) Council  has taken 918 decisions related to GST laws, rules, rates, compensation and taxation threshold etc. More than 96% of the decisions have already been implemented through 294 Notifications issued by the Central Government and the remaining are under various stages of implementation.
