Closing Ceremony & Final Match of Junior Boys of the59th edition of Subroto Cup International Football Tournament was held at Dr. Ambedkar Stadium, Delhi Gate, New Delhi on 20 Nov 18 at 1545 hr. Air Chief Marshal BS Dhanoa PVSM AVSM YSM VM ADC, Chief of the Air Staff & Chairman, SubrotoMukerjee Sports Education Society was the Chief Guest for the ceremony.

The 3rd Defence Ministers’ Dialogue (DMD) between India and Singapore was successfully concluded today. The DMD commenced after both countries signed the revised Defence Cooperation Agreement (DCA) in 2015 to further strengthen the long standing defence relationship between the Singapore Armed Forces (SAF) and the Indian Armed Forces.

Dr Ng Eng Hen, Defence Minister of the Republic of Singapore closely observed the two navies in action at sea during the ongoing 25th Edition of Singapore India Maritime Bilateral Exercise (SIMBEX 18) in the Bay of Bengal toady, 20 November 18.  Admiral Sunil Lanba, Chief of the Naval Staff of Indian Navy hosted Rear Admiral Lew Chuen Hong, Chief of Navy of the Republic of Singapore Navy (RSN) and officials from Defence Ministries of both the nations who accompanied the Hon. Defence Minister.

Shri Hardeep S. Puri, Minister of State (I/C) of Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs (MoHUA), has stated that the vision and strategy of ensuring access to clean drinking water and to provide sanitation and hygiene related services to everyone, is finding expression in vigorous implementation of critical flagship programs: Swachh Bharat and AMRUT”, launched by the MoHUA, and added that “we are achieving significant success in both these missions”.

The Vice-President, Shri M. Venkaiah Naidu today cautioned against upsetting the delicate balance of powers between the executive, judiciary and legislature saying that encroachment by one organ into the domain of another would set bad precedents and weaken the institutions.
