A Two-day Yoga Mahotsava, a Curtain Raiser for International Day of Yoga (IDY) 2019 was inaugurated by the Vice-Chairman, NITI AYOG Shri Rajeev Kumar at New Delhi today. Morarji Desai National Institute of Yoga (MDNIY) under Ministry of AYUSH is organising the Yoga Mahotsav-2019 to sensitize the masses for celebration of IDY 2019.

The draft National Education Policy document has been submitted to the Minister for HRD by the Chairman Dr Kasturirangan and the members of the Committee yesterday. The Ministry of Human Resource Development has clarified following in this regard:

The Vice President of India, Shri M. Venkaiah Naidu underscored the need for writers and litterateurs to promote progressive and positive thinking among the people even while holding a mirror to the happenings in the society.

The total gross GST revenue collected in the month of May, 2019 is Rs 1,00,289 crore of which CGST is Rs 17,811 crore, SGST is Rs 24,462 crore, IGST is Rs 49,891 crore (including Rs 24,875 crore collected on imports) and Cess is Rs 8,125 crore (including Rs 953 crore collected on imports).

After taking charge of the Agriculture and Farmers Welfare Ministry, Union Minister Shri Narendra Singh Tomar held a review/presentation meeting with senior officers of Department of Agriculture, Cooperation and Farmers Welfare at Krishi Bhawan today.
