First Indian Army Mountaineering Expedition to Mt Makalu (8485 M) 2019 has been ‘Flagged In’ by Hon’ble Raksha Mantri Shri Rajnath Singh on 28 June 2019. The Indian Army Mountaineering team achieved a singular distinction by placing sixteen members on the summit of Mt Makalu, the fifth highest peak of the world, on 16 May 2019.

Flagging in Ceremony of NCC Girls Expedition to Mt Tenchenkhang

All India National Cadet Corps (NCC) Girls’ Mountaineering Expedition 2019 to Mt Tenchenkhang was ‘Flagged In’ by Lt General Rajeev Chopra, Director General NCC here on June 27, 2019. The expedition team came back after successfully summiting Mt Tenchenkhang (6010 Mtr) in west Sikkim.

Govt to go ahead with Air India Disinvestment

In a meeting on 28th June 2017, the Cabinet Committee on Economic Affairs had in-principle approved the consideration for strategic disinvestment of Air India & its five subsidiaries. An Air India Specific Alternative Mechanism (AISAM) was constituted by CCEA for this.
