The 7th Community Radio Sammelan was inaugurated by Shri Amit Khare, Secretary, Ministry of Information & Broadcasting at Dr. BR Ambedkar Bhawan, New Delhi today. Representatives of all operational Community Radio Stations across the country along with senior officials of Ministry of Information & Broadcasting were present on the occasion.

The Union Minister of Consumer Affairs, Food and Public Distribution Shri Ram Vilas Paswan today held wide ranging discussions on the rules and regulations to be formed under the New Consumer Protection Act, 2019 with several Members of Parliament (MPs) from Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha along with the current and former Secretaries from Department of Consumer Affairs and senior officials of the Ministry and media personnel.

The Government has implemented plethora of reforms in the past five years in the E&P sector. The Hydrocarbon Exploration and Licensing Policy (HELP) replacing the erstwhile New Exploration Licensing Policy (NELP) was approved in March 2016 and the Open Acreage Licensing Programme (OALP) along with the National Data Repository (NDR) were launched in June 2017 as the key drivers to accelerate the Exploration and Production (E&P) activities in India.

Urging every farmer of the country to be a progressive farmer Union Agriculture Minister Shri Narendra Singh Tomar said that farmers should adopt new technologies and advancements in the field and must have frequent engagements with ascientists and local Krishi Vigyan Kendras.

Acknowledging the progress that has been made to implement Draft National Resource Efficiency Policy (NREP), the Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change have extended the timeline to invite comments on it by another month i.e. till 24.09.
