The 37thGST Council met in Goa today under the Chairmanship of Union Finance & Corporate Affairs Minister Smt Nirmala Sitharaman  . The meeting was also attended by Union Minister of State for Finance & Corporate Affairs Shri Anurag Thakur besides Chief Minister of Goa Shri Pramod Sawant,  Finance Ministers of States & UTs and seniors officers of the Ministry of Finance .

The council   took the following decisions in respect to rates relating to goods.

Union Minister for Home Affairs, Shri Amit Shah chaired the29th meeting of the Northern Zonal Council was held at Chandigarh (Haryana)today. The meeting was attended by the Chief Ministers ofRajasthan, Punjab, Haryana, Himachal Pradesh, Governor of Jammu & Kashmir, Administrator of UT of Chandigarh, Lt. Governor of NCT of Delhi, andvarious Ministers fromthese States and senior officers from the Central and State Governments including Chief Secretaries and Secretaries to Government of India.

Union Minister for Home Affairs, Shri Amit Shah launched three citizen centric services of the Chandigarh Police, in Chandigarh today. The services include the Emergency Response Support System (ERSS – Dial 112), ‘E-Beat Book’ System and the ‘E-Saathi App’.

Smt. Nirmala Sitharaman, Union Minister of Finance & Corporate Affairs reviewed the performance of the banks, here, today in a meeting with the top management of Public Sector Banks.

Today, FM reviewed at length the implementation of series of measures, following extensive stakeholder consultations, announced since 23.8.

Government to invest 25,000 Crores in next 5 years for Fisheries development: Shri Giriraj Singh
