To channelize the energy of the youth from Jammu and Kashmir, All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) has implemented the Prime Minister’s Special Scholarship Scheme for Jammu and Kashmir Students.

The Department of Drinking Water and Sanitation (DDWS), Ministry of Jal Shakti, GoI launched the 10 Year Rural Sanitation Strategy (2019-2029), which focus on sustaining the sanitation behavior change that has been achieved under the Swachh Bharat Mission Grameen (SBM-G), ensuring that no one is left behind, and increasing access to solid and liquid waste management.

The Minister of State for Development of North Eastern Region (I/C), Prime Minister’s Office, Personnel, Public Grievances & Pensions, Atomic Energy and Space, Dr. Jitendra Singh    chaired a review meeting  with the officials of Ministry of Development of North Eastern Region (DoNER) and North Eastern Council (NEC), here today.

The President of India, Shri Ram NathKovind, presented awards for outstanding contributions in science and technology at a function held at VigyanBhawan in New Delhi today on the occasion of Council of Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR) Foundation Day.

Speaking on the occasion, the President said that the true test of scientific research lies in its ability to help our society accelerate socio-economic development in various areas of human life such as health and hygiene, sanitation, education and agriculture.

The Vice President of India, Shri M. Venkaiah Naidu has urged youth to participate in a big way to eradicate social evils, poverty, and illiteracy. He also asked them to be in the forefront in eliminating casteism and religious fundamentalism.
