Atma Nirbhar Bharat scheme to provide free food grains to migrant labour kicks off

Under Atma Nirbhar Bharat package, Government of India has decided that food grains will be provided free of cost at the rate of 5 Kg per month for two months i.e. May and June 2020, to about 8 Crore migrant labour who are not covered under NFSA or State scheme PDS cards.

MHA to States/UTs: Ensure Migrant Workers do not have to walk back home, and perform the journey only in buses & ‘Shramik’ Special Trains being run by the Government specifically for this purpose

Union Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA), on 11.05.2020, wrote to all States/UTs to facilitate faster movement of stranded migrant workers to their native places, through buses and ‘Shramik’ special trains being run by the Government specifically for this purpose.

Indian Potash Limited (IPL), A PSU under the department of fertilizers ministry of chemicals and fertilizers has decided to cut the price  of Muriate of Potash (MOP)from the present level of Rs.19000 per MT to 17500 per MT i.e a reduction of  Rs. 75 per bag w.e.f  18th may 2020.
