Government approves nine (9) FDI proposals involving FDI of Rs. 659 crore

Based on the recommendations of the Foreign Investment Promotion Board (FIPB) in its 243rd Meeting held on 21st February 2017, the Government has approved nine (9) FDI proposals involving Foreign Direct Investment (FDI) of Rs. 659 crore, and recommended three proposals for the Cabinet Committee on Economic Affairs (CCEA) as per details enclosed.

Water level of 91 major reservoirs of the country goes down by Two per cent

The water storage available in 91 major reservoirs of the country for the week ending on March 23, 2017 was 54.962 BCM, which is 35% of total storage capacity of these reservoirs. This percentage was at 37 for the week ending on March 16, 2017. The level of March 23, 2017 was 132% of the storage of corresponding period of last year and 101% of storage of average of last ten years.
