“iAM Smart” enhancement features real-time daily-life information (with photo)

     The Office of the Government Chief Information Officer (OGCIO) announced today (October 3) that members of the public will be able to browse various kinds of practical daily information, including local real-time weather, traffic conditions, government information, locations of public facilities, Accident and Emergency Department waiting time, etc, by opening the "iAM Smart" mobile app. Those who have not yet registered for "iAM Smart" can also access such information upon downloading the mobile app. The new 3.1.0 version of "iAM Smart" will be launched next Monday (October 9).      A spokesman of the OGCIO said, "Since its launch in late 2020, 'iAM Smart', a one-stop personalised digital service platform, has more than 2.3 million registrations. In addition to adding practical information, the OGCIO will keep upgrading the 'iAM Smart' by enhancing user experience, and simplifying the registration procedures and the overall service usage workflow, with the objective to provide one-stop digital services with the 'iAM Smart' platform by 2025 and realise the goal of 'single portal for online government services'."
 
     Moreover, the number of online services supported by "iAM Smart" continues to grow. At present, "iAM Smart" users can access 300 government, public and private online services, including Leisure Link, eHealth, eTAX, Contactless e-Channel, HKeToll, renewal of vehicle licences, online application for International Driving Permit, and online services of power and gas companies.      The "iAM Smart" mobile app supports iOS and Android mobile phones enabled with biometric authentication.
