The Housing Department today (December 8) learned that a chainman has tested positive for COVID-19. He is staying at hospital for treatment.

His workstation is located at Oi Man Estate, Ho Man Tin, which is not open to the public. He has no contact with the public while performing his duties. The chainman last returned to his office on December 7.

He has no recent travel history. He has been wearing masks and following relevant disease prevention measures at work.

Since the chainman concerned has been deployed to support land surveying works at the Department's site in North Point, the site and his workstation at Oi Man Estate will be fully cleaned and sterilised in accordance with the guidelines of the Centre for Health Protection (CHP).

â€‹The Department will continue to closely co-operate with the CHP on disease prevention measures and its quarantine work.
