Hong Kong Police’s National Security Department launched enforcement operation under National Security Law (3)

     The National Security Department of the Hong Kong Police Force (NSD) arrested a 55-year-old man in June this year for conspiracy to collude with a foreign country or with external elements to endanger national security.

     The NSD today (July 21) revoked the bail arrangements of the arrested person. He is being detained for further investigation.

     The NSD today officially laid charges against the four persons, aged 51 to 57, for the offence of conspiracy to collude with a foreign country or with external elements to endanger national security under Article 29 of the Law of the People's Republic of China on Safeguarding National Security in the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region, including the 51-year-old-man who was arrested this morning, the aforementioned man and the two arrested persons whose bail arrangements have been revoked earlier.

     The four of them will be brought to West Kowloon Magistrates’ Courts for mention tomorrow (July 22) morning.
