Honduras participates in Global Summit against online sexual exploitation of children
The forum was co-hosted by the African Union, the WePROTECT Global Alliance and the UK Government, and was held in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia from 11 – 12 December 2019. The Global Summit united key partners from governments, civil society, the technology industry, law enforcement agencies and research institutions against online child sexual exploitation.
During the two-day event, the Honduran was government represented by the Inter-institutional Commission against Commercial Sexual Exploitation and Trafficking in Persons (CICESCT), was provided with the knowledge, tools and networks required to understand the nature and prevalence of online child sexual exploitation, and the means to implement a strategic global response. Experiences, best practices and positive developments were shared.
