HKSAR Government adds five new sites to construct community isolation and treatment facilities
The Hong Kong Special Administrative Region (HKSAR) Government announced today (February 22) that it will construct community isolation and treatment facilities with the assistance of the Central Government at the following five locations:
- Lok Ma Chau Loop
- Tam Mei, Yuen Long (private land lent by owner)
- Former site of The Boxes, San Tin (private land lent by owner)
- Hung Shui Kiu (located in Hung Shui Kiu/Ha Tsuen New Development Area, near Kai Pak Ling Road)
- Tsing Yi Town Lot No. 200
The HKSAR Government expressed gratitude to the developers including Sun Hung Kai Properties and Henderson Land Development for lending private land for free to the Government and handing over the sites speedily so that construction works can be kick-started as early as possible.
The sites have been handed over to the construction team to commence works. The HKSAR Government is also finalising the detailed design and scale of the projects with the construction team with an aim to completing the construction as soon as possible to cater for the need of anti-epidemic work.
