HAD to fully resume normal public services
To align with the announcement by the Government to largely resume normal public services from April 21, the Home Affairs Department (HAD) announced today (April 20) that the department will fully resume its services from tomorrow. The details are set out below.
The Home Affairs Enquiry Centres (HAECs) in 18 districts will open between 9am and 7pm from Monday to Friday, and between 8.45am and 6.45pm from Monday to Friday for the HAEC in Cheung Chau, as well as between 9am and 6pm on Monday, Wednesday and Friday for the HAEC in Mui Wo.
Counter and hotline (2835 1535) services of the Estate Beneficiaries Support Unit of the HAD will be provided from 8.45am to 1pm and from 2pm to 6pm between Monday and Friday.
The Office of the Licensing Authority will open between 9am and 6pm from Monday to Friday. Any licensing application in connection with hotels, guesthouses and other premises, as well as entertainment, can also be submitted by post or by using e-submission. Application forms and submission details can be found on the website of the Office of the Licensing Authority: www.hadla.gov.hk.
The above services are closed on Saturdays, Sundays and public holidays.
The operating hours of the 24-hour hotline set up under the "StayHomeSafe" Scheme (183 3019) will remain unchanged, and will also serve calls from home confinees coming back from outside Hong Kong. For other enquiries, members of the public may call the HAD's enquiry hotline at 2835 2500 between 9am and 7pm from Monday to Friday.
Meanwhile, the facilities of community halls and community centres, except when being used for emergency relief services or anti-epidemic work, will be open to organisations with approved bookings.
The HAD reminds users of the above services to scan the venue QR code using the "LeaveHomeSafe" mobile app, take their body temperature, wear their own masks, and observe various social distancing requirements. Those who use the facilities of community halls/community centres are additionally required to make available their Vaccine Pass (please refer to www.coronavirus.gov.hk/pdf/vp_t1_ENG.pdf for the latest dosage schedule) or vaccination medical exemption certificate for inspection.
