HAD distributes complimentary COVID-19 rapid test kits to households, cleansing workers and property management staff in Tai Po, Eastern District, North District, Yuen Long, Sha Tin and Wong Tai Sin (with photos)
In light of the positive test results for the COVID-19 virus from some sewage samples collected in Tai Po, Eastern District, Northern District, Yuen Long, Sha Tin and Wong Tai Sin, the Home Affairs Department (HAD) said today (March 25) that the Tai Po District Office (TPDO), the Eastern District Office (EDO), the North District Office (NDO), the Yuen Long District Office (YLDO), the Sha Tin District Office (STDO) and the Wong Tai Sin District Office (WTSDO) have distributed a total of about 190 000 COVID-19 rapid test kits (rapid test kits) to households, cleansing workers and property management staff living and working in the districts.
The TPDO distributed rapid test kits to households, cleansing workers and property management staff living and working in Wang Fuk Court, Po Heung Estate, residential premises near On Fu Road and Yan Hing Street through the property management companies. Arrangements have also been made for distribution of rapid test kits to households living in "three-nil" buildings in the district of which the sewage samples were tested positive.
The EDO and the NDO distributed rapid test kits to households, cleansing workers and property management staff living and working in residential premises near Tsat Tsz Mui Road, Tanner Road and Kam Ping Street in Eastern District and Flora Plaza, King Shing Court, Yan Shing Court, Belair Monte, Union Plaza, Regentville, Commune Modern and Grand Tower in North District through the property management companies.
The YLDO also started to distribute rapid test kits to households, cleansing workers and property management staff living and working in several estates in Yuen Long Town, such as Park Signature, Emerald Green and Sol City, and residential premises near Hung Shui Kiu, Castle Peak Road through the property management companies.
The STDO also distributed rapid test kits to households, cleansing workers and property management staff living and working in Mei Tin Estate, Mei Lam Estate and Mei Ying Court for voluntary testing through the Housing Department (HD) and the property management companies.
In addition, the WTSDO distributed rapid test kits to households, cleansing workers and property management staff living and working in Chuk Yuen North Estate, Tsz Man Estate, Tsz Hong Estate, Shatin Pass Estate and Tsz On Court through the owners' corporations, the property management companies and the HD.
The HAD made the above arrangements in the hope of identifying infected persons early.
People who obtained positive results through a rapid antigen test for the first time can make a report via the online platform Declaration System for Individuals Tested Positive for COVID-19 Using Rapid Antigen Test (www.chp.gov.hk/ratp/). If individuals encounter difficulties in using the online platform, they can call the automated system at 183 6119 to register their identification document and telephone number. The Centre for Health Protection will contact the relevant person later to finish the report procedure.

The Government appeals for the co-operation of members of the public to safeguard the health of themselves and their families by undergoing testing on a voluntary basis and fighting the virus together. The Government urges all individuals who are in doubt about their own health condition, or individuals with infection risks (such as individuals who visited places with epidemic outbreaks or had contact with cases that tested positive), to undergo testing promptly for early identification of infected persons to reduce the transmission risks of COVID-19.
