HAD distributes complimentary COVID-19 rapid test kits to households, cleansing workers and property management staff in Kwun Tong, Sha Tin, Sham Shui Po, Eastern District, Wong Tai Sin, Sai Kung and North District (with photos)

     â€‹In light of the positive test results for the COVID-19 virus from some sewage samples collected in Kwun Tong, Sha Tin, Sham Shui Po, Eastern District, Wong Tai Sin, Sai Kung and North District, the Home Affairs Department (HAD) (including the Kwun Tong District Office (KTDO), the Sha Tin District Office (STDO), the Sham Shui Po District Office (SSPDO), the Eastern District Office (EDO), the Wong Tai Sin District Office (WTSDO), the Sai Kung District Office (SKDO) and the North District Office (NDO)) today (February 28) distributed a total of about 66 640 COVID-19 rapid test kits (rapid test kits) to households, cleansing workers and property management staff living and working in the districts.
      
     The KTDO distributed rapid test kits to households, cleansing workers and property management staff living and working in Sau Ming House of Sau Mau Ping Estate, Tin Chu House, Tin Hang House, Tin Lok House and Tin Chi House of Shun Tin Estate, and Sau Wong House of Sau Mau Ping South Estate in Kwun Tong for voluntary testing through the Housing Department (HD) and the property management companies.
      
     The STDO distributed rapid test kits to households, cleansing workers and property management staff living and working in Foo Wo House of Wo Che Estate, Foo Wai House of Sun Tin Wai Estate, Ming Shun Lau, Ming Yiu Lau and Ming Yan Lau of Jat Min Chuen, Chun Wu House, Chun Sze House and Chun San House of Chun Yeung Estate, and Sau Chuen House and Kwai Wo House of Lek Yuen Estate in Sha Tin for voluntary testing through the HD and the property management companies.
      
     The SSPDO distributed rapid test kits to households, cleansing workers and property management staff living and working in Chun Lai House and Chun Yin House of Hang Chun Court for voluntary testing through the owners' corporation and the property management company, and also distributed rapid test kits to households, cleansing workers and property management staff living and working in 68-70ã€�72-74ã€�76-78ã€�80-82ã€�84-86 and 88-90 Broadway Street, Mei Foo Sun Chuen for voluntary testing through the property management company.
      
     The EDO distributed rapid test kits to households living in Sui Fat House, Sui Fuk House and Sui Lung House of Siu Sai Wan Estate in Chai Wan, as well as to all cleansing workers and property management staff working in the Estate for voluntary testing through the property management company.
      
     The WTSDO also distributed rapid test kits to households, cleansing workers and property management staff living and working in Tung Wui Estate in Wong Tai Sin for voluntary testing through the HD and the property management company.
      
     The SKDO also distributed rapid test kits to households, cleansing workers and property management staff living and working in On Ning Garden Block 5 in Tseung Kwan O for voluntary testing through the property management company.
      
     In addition, the NDO distributed rapid test kits to households, cleansing workers and property management staff living and working in Cheong Shing Court in Fanling for voluntary testing through the property management company.
      
     The HAD made the above arrangements in the hope of identifying infected persons early.
      
     If people living or working in the areas with positive sewage testing results test positive with the rapid test kits, they may call 2280 4772, the Government's 24-hour hotline for "persons tested positive with rapid antigen tests in areas with positive sewage testing results" for assistance.

     The Government appeals for the co-operation of members of the public to safeguard the health of themselves and their families by undergoing testing on a voluntary basis and fighting the virus together. The Government urges all individuals who are in doubt about their own health condition, or individuals with infection risks (such as individuals who visited places with epidemic outbreaks or had contact with cases that tested positive), to undergo testing promptly for early identification of infected persons to reduce the transmission risks of COVID-19.
