HAD and Lok Sin Tong arrange one-off free COVID-19 testing service for Thai people in Kowloon City

The Government is very concerned about the recent confirmed cases of COVID-19 involving Thai people. In view of a large number of Thai people living and working in Kowloon City District, the Home Affairs Department (HAD) and Lok Sin Tong will join hands to arrange voluntary free COVID-19 virus testing service tomorrow (October 10) and the day after (October 11) for Thai people in Kowloon City.

Thai people can collect specimen bottles tomorrow and the day after from 10am to 5pm from Lok Sin Tong Lee Yin Yee United Centre – Support Service Centre for Ethnic Minorities at 47 Tak Ku Ling Road, Kowloon City and return the specimen bottles to Lok Sin Tong Chan Kwong Hing Memorial Primary Health Centre on G/F, 48 Junction Road, Kowloon City from 9am to 12noon on October 12 and 13. The Government appeals to Thai people to actively participate and return specimen bottles on time to eliminate the transmission link in the community as soon as possible and to seek medical treatment promptly. The Government is truly grateful for Lok Sin Tong's assistance, making it possible to launch the testing scheme within a short time.

The Kowloon City District Office (KCDO) has contacted organisations serving Thai people in the district through Lok Sin Tong to inform them about the testing scheme. Specimen bottles and leaflets on anti-epidemic will be distributed to Thai restaurants and merchants in Kowloon City district tomorrow. To cater for the specific needs of Thai people, Lok Sin Tong will arrange Thai volunteers to provide onsite assistance and the relevant anti-epidemic information and guidelines written in Thai will also be provided.
