District Offices under the Home Affairs Department together with the Hong Kong Community Anti-Coronavirus Link (the Anti-Coronavirus Link) on February 27 distributed a total of over 270 000 anti-epidemic support supplies by the Central Government – COVID-19 rapid test kits (rapid test kits) to members of the public for free in different districts in Hong Kong, and will continue to distribute rapid test kits in the coming few days in different districts for members of the public to take the test on their own, in order to identify infected persons as soon as possible.
The Acting Director of Home Affairs, Miss Vega Wong, accompanied by the District Officer (Yau Tsim Mong), Mr Edward Yu, and the Yau Tsim Mong representative of the Anti-Coronavirus Link, distributed complimentary rapid test kits to members of the public at one of the estates in the district and handed over more than 10 000 rapid test kits to the organisers of a vaccination event held at Tsim Sha Tsui Community Hall for distribution to the participating members of the public. The Anti-Coronavirus Link will continue to distribute rapid test kits at different locations in Yau Tsim Mong District in the coming few days.
The Wong Tai Sin District Office, together with the Anti-Coronavirus Link, set up street booths in the district, and distributed rapid test kits through the owners' corporations, property management companies, the estate offices of the Housing Department and district networks, to residents, cleansing workers and property management staff living and working in Wong Tai Sin, San Po Kong and Tsz Wan Shan, and will continue to distribute rapid test kits within the district in the coming few days.
In addition, the Sham Shui Po District Office, together with the Anti-Coronavirus Link, distributed anti-epidemic supplies received from the Mainland, including rapid test kits and proprietary Chinese medicines, to cleansing workers and property management staff working in the housing estates within the district through the property management companies.
The Islands District Office, together with the Anti-Coronavirus Link, distributed rapid test kits through the property management companies, the Rural Committees and the residents' association, etc, to residents in the district for free.
The Yuen Long District Office, together with the Anti-Coronavirus Link, distributed rapid test kits to members of the public at Shui Che Kwun Lane, Yuen Long. The Anti-Coronavirus Link has also arranged the distribution of rapid test kits to residents through different means at a number of locations in Yuen Long town, Tin Shui Wai and rural areas of Yuen Long.
The Southern District Office, together with the Anti-Coronavirus Link, the Hong Kong Southern District Community Association and district organisations, also distributed rapid test kits to residents in various locations in the district, including Wah Kwai, Wah Fu, Shek Yu, Lee Tung, Wong Chuk Hang and Ap Lei Chau.
In addition, the Sai Kung District Office, together with the Anti-Coronavirus Link, set up street booths in the district, and distributed rapid test kits to residents, cleansing workers and property management staff living and working in Sai Kung through owners' corporations, property management companies and district networks, and will continue to distribute in the district in the coming few days.
The North District Office, together with the Anti-Coronavirus Link, distributed rapid test kits to households in several estates within the district through the property management companies, the owners' corporations and the residents welfare associations in the district.
The Central and Western District Office set up a street booth in Sheung Wan Cultural Square with the Anti-Coronavirus Link to distribute complimentary rapid test kits to members of the public. The Anti-Coronavirus Link also distributed rapid test kits to the residents and staff (including security guards, cleansing workers and staff of building management offices) of around 120 buildings in the Central and Western district through owners' corporations or building management offices.
The Tai Po District Office, together with the Anti-Coronavirus Link, distributed rapid test kits to residents, security guards and cleansing workers in several estates within the district through the owners' corporations and the property management companies.
The Sha Tin District Office, together with the Anti-Coronavirus Link, the Sha Tin Rural Committee and district organisations, distributed rapid test kits to residents, security guards and cleansing workers in several estates within the district.
The Kwai Tsing District Office, together with the Anti-Coronavirus Link, also distributed rapid test kits to security guards and cleansing workers in several estates within the district.
The Eastern District Office, together with the Anti-Coronavirus Link and the Hong Kong Eastern District Community Association, distributed rapid test kits to residents of Eastern District at Java Road, North Point on February 26.

The Government appeals for the co-operation of members of the public to safeguard the health of themselves and their families by undergoing testing on a voluntary basis and fighting the virus together. The Government urges all individuals who are in doubt about their own health condition, or individuals with infection risks (such as individuals who visited places with epidemic outbreaks or had contact with cases that tested positive), to undergo testing promptly for early identification of infected persons to reduce the transmission risks of COVID-19.
