The following is issued on behalf of the Hospital Authority.
The Hospital Authority (HA) made the following announcement today (November 9) on enhancing the COVID-19 test service in Tai Po District to tie in with the Government's actions:
In view of the recent COVID-19 infection cases from an unknown source reported in Tai Po District, the HA has reminded healthcare workers of the general out-patient clinics (GOPCs) and the Accident and Emergency (A&E) Department in the district to stay vigilant and to arrange viral tests for patients where necessary.
Starting from today (November 9), the HA has enhanced the specimen collection pack distribution service in GOPCs in Tai Po District for three consecutive days by increasing the number of specimen collection packs to be distributed in the Tai Po Jockey Club GOPC and Wong Siu Ching Family Medicine Centre. Staff members will closely monitor the situation to co-ordinate the distribution of collection packs and collection of specimens. Members of the public presenting with symptoms should seek consultation at the A&E Department or GOPCs for test arrangements.
Following the Government's enhanced community testing service in the district, the HA would closely work with the Centre for Health Protection to provide medical services for confirmed patients who require hospitalisation.
