Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area Development Office to showcase GBA development opportunities at Education & Careers Expo
The Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area Development Office under the Constitutional and Mainland Affairs Bureau will set up a booth at the four-day Education & Careers Expo 2025 at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre from tomorrow (January 16) to introduce the latest information about the development of the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area (GBA), including the choices and opportunities available for study, internships, employment and entrepreneurship in the Mainland cities of the GBA. Students and young people interested in studying or pursuing a career in the Mainland cities of the GBA are welcome to visit the exhibition.
A spokesman for the Office said that as a demonstration zone of the country's high-quality development, the GBA provides one of the important platforms for cultivating young talent. The Government of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region (HKSAR) is committed to supporting Hong Kong young people to participate in the development of the GBA, giving full play to their strengths and seizing the opportunities brought about by the area. In particular, the HKSAR Government continues to introduce and enhance various schemes for exchanges, internships, employment and entrepreneurship in the Mainland cities of the GBA and encourage young people to actively take part to realise their aspirations on the bigger stage of the GBA and, at the same time, make their contributions as Hong Kong fully leverages its advantages of having strong support from the motherland and enjoying close connections with the world to proactively integrate into the overall national development.
This is the fifth consecutive year that the Office has participated in the Education & Careers Expo. The Office booth offers rich information including the introduction of tailor-made support programmes and facilitation arrangements for Hong Kong young people, various support services, as well as different channels for obtaining practical information about the GBA to provide young people who are interested in pursuing development in the Mainland cities of the GBA with the latest information. A Greater Bay Area Information Station (GBAIS) will be set up at the booth to enable visitors to learn about the latest developments in the GBA through an easy-to-use interface. Photo-taking spots will also be set up at the booth for visitors to take photos, and GBA-themed souvenirs will be distributed while stock lasts.
The Education & Careers Expo 2025 will be held at Hall 1 of the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre. Admission is free. The Office booth will be located at Hall 1E (Booth 1E-A02) and will be open from 10am to 7pm from January 16 to 18, and from 10am to 6pm on January 19.
