The Transport Department (TD) announced that with effect from today (March 30), the number of Green Minibus (GMB) routes covered under the GMB Real-time Arrival Information System has been further extended from 313 to 391 to facilitate passengers' trip planning.

A spokesman for the TD said, "The GMB Real-time Arrival Information System has been operating smoothly since it was launched last year. With the support of the GMB trade, the TD has uploaded the real-time arrival information of a total of 313 GMB routes in four phases last year. Further to the current extension to 391 GMB routes, the TD will continue to work closely with the trade to upload the real-time arrival information of the remaining some 150 GMB routes in phases, with a view to achieving full implementation by the end of this year."

Passengers can check the estimated arrival times of the next three GMBs arriving at specified en-route stops (or departing from the termini) of the routes concerned through the TD's mobile application "HKeMobility". The relevant data will also be released in a machine-readable format via the Public Sector Information Portal (data.gov.hk) for public use free of charge.

Relevant publicity materials have been posted at the termini and inside GMB compartments of the GMB routes concerned to inform passengers of the arrangements.
