Greater Bay Area Youth Employment Scheme Job Expo to be held on March 23 and 24

     To encourage and support young people to work and pursue their career in the Mainland cities of the Greater Bay Area, the Government has launched the Greater Bay Area Youth Employment Scheme and will organise the Greater Bay Area Youth Employment Scheme Job Expo.
      
     The job expo will be held online from March 23 until 6pm on March 24 on the Labour Department's Interactive Employment Service (iES) website (www.jobs.gov.hk). Eligible job seekers need to pre-register as users of the iES before submitting job applications to participating organisations during the online job fair. All services are free of charge. A total of 34 organisations from different industries including finance, business services, education, logistics and information technology will participate and offer over 800 vacancies. The vacancies offered cover general and innovation and technology (I&T) positions, including designer, accounting officer, administrative assistant, human resources assistant, business analyst, mechanical engineer, software engineer and web developer.
      
     In addition, among the participating organisations of the online job fair, about 20 organisations will concurrently set up booths and conduct on-the-spot recruitment at MacPherson Stadium in Mong Kok (near Exit B of Mong Kok East MTR station) from 11am to 5.30pm on March 23 and 24. Admission is free, with the final admission time at 5pm daily. Appropriate infection control or crowd control measures taking into account the latest epidemic developments and number of visitors will be implemented at the venue. All visitors are required to scan the venue QR code using the "LeaveHomeSafe" mobile application, or complete a personal particulars form and place in a designated drop-in box.      
      
     The job expo is targeted at Hong Kong residents lawfully employable in Hong Kong, with bachelor's degrees or above awarded locally or by institutions outside Hong Kong, from 2019 to 2021. Under the scheme, the graduates employed will receive a monthly salary of no less than HK$18,000. For I&T posts, eligible graduates, in addition to meeting the above-mentioned criteria, should possess degrees related to science, technology, engineering or mathematics subjects.
