Government invites tenders for short-term tenancy in Tsuen Wan for fee-paying public car park with installation of automated parking system

     The Government today (September 30) commenced the invitation of tenders for a short-term tenancy (STT) of one lot of Government land at the junction of Hoi Shing Road and Hoi Kok Street, Tsuen Wan (STT No. 1554 Tsuen Wan), for implementing a pilot project on an automated parking system (APS). The term of STT No. 1554 Tsuen Wan is a fixed term of five years and thereafter monthly.

     The Transport Department is taking forward six APS pilot projects with a view to acquiring and consolidating experience in building, operating and managing different types of APSs and the associated financial arrangements. This will pave the way for wider application of APSs in government and privately operated public car parks in future. 

     The site in Tsuen Wan has been identified for implementing the first APS pilot project. The successful tenderer is required to erect, construct and install an APS in the form of a puzzle stacking system within 12 months from the commencement date of the tenancy so as to provide not less than 75 automated parking spaces out of a total minimum of 245 parking spaces on the site under the Tenancy Agreement.

     The Form of Tender, the Tender Notice and the Conditions may be obtained from and tender plan inspected at the following offices:

(i) The Survey and Mapping Office, Lands Department, 23/F, North Point Government Offices, 333 Java Road, North Point, Hong Kong;
(ii) The District Lands Office/Kowloon, 4/F, South Tower, West Kowloon Government Offices, 11 Hoi Ting Road, Yau Ma Tei, Kowloon; and
(iii) The District Lands Office/Tsuen Wan and Kwai Tsing, 10/F, Tsuen Wan Multi-storey Carpark Building, 174-208 Castle Peak Road, Tsuen Wan, New Territories.

     Prospective tenderers are requested to pay attention to all the requirements set out in the Tender Notice and the Tenancy Agreement of the tender document of STT No. 1554 Tsuen Wan for this pilot project.

     Tenders must be deposited in the Public Works Tender Box situated in Room 503 on the fifth floor of the Low Block of Queensway Government Offices, 66 Queensway, Hong Kong, before noon on October 30, 2020 (Friday). Late tenders will not be accepted.
