Government appeals to public to take note of opening hours of Community Vaccination Centres
A Government spokesman today (October 31) appealed to members of the public to receive COVID-19 vaccination as early as possible and pay attention to the latest opening hours of the Community Vaccination Centres (CVCs) under the COVID-19 Vaccination Programme.
Starting from tomorrow (November 1), the CVCs will operate from 10am to 6pm on Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays and will be closed on Wednesdays. On Saturdays and Sundays, the opening hours will be from 8am to 8pm. All CVCs will close between 1.30pm and 2.30pm on working days for cleaning.
"The COVID-19 Vaccination Programme has been implemented for over eight months, providing various channels and venues for vaccination services. People who are yet to receive vaccination should seize the chance to get vaccinated early for self-protection," the spokesman said.
All eligible persons can collect same-day tickets and get vaccinated at the CVCs (except those located at a private hospital) without prior booking. People may also make reservations and choose their preferred time slots to receive the Sinovac vaccine or the BioNTech vaccine through the designated website of the Vaccination Programme (www.covidvaccine.gov.hk).
People may also make reservations for Sinovac vaccination at Ma On Shan Family Medicine Centre and Tin Shui Wai (Tin Yip Road) Community Health Centre under the Hospital Authority. They can also receive the Sinovac vaccine through private doctors or clinics participating in the programme.
