General out-patient clinics extend Sinovac COVID-19 vaccination services

The spokesperson of the Hospital Authority (HA) today (August 6) announced that the HA will dovetail with the Government's COVID-19 Vaccination Programme and extend its Sinovac COVID-19 vaccination services at the 26 selected general out-patient clinics (GOPCs) to the end of October. After then, the GOPCs will focus its manpower and resources on the provision of seasonal influenza and pneumococcal vaccination services.
The 26 GOPCs will stop providing vaccination services for the first dose of the Sinovac COVID-19 vaccine after September 28, while that for the second dose will be stopped after October 26. The vaccination assessment services provided by the GOPCs for their follow-up patients will continue.
"In support of the Government's COVID 19 Vaccination Programme, the 26 GOPCs of the Hospital Authority started providing Sinovac COVID-19 vaccination services from February 26 in phases. Over 140 000 doses of the Sinovac vaccination have been provided so far," the HA spokesperson said.
