Garden of Forever Love at Cape Collinson to open tomorrow

Garden of Forever Love at Cape Collinson, the second facility for keeping abortuses of less than 24 weeks' gestation managed by the Food and Environmental Hygiene Department (FEHD), will be commissioned tomorrow (August 19) and open for applications.

A spokesman for the FEHD said, "The Garden of Forever Love is located at the Cape Collinson Columbarium in Chai Wan. In a scenic and serene setting, the garden provides 400 keeping spaces with a stand for offering flowers and a wall for mounting commemorative plaques. The service is free of charge."

The FEHD's first facility for keeping abortuses, Wo Hop Shek Garden of Forever Love, was commissioned in April 2019. Apart from the government facility, four private cemeteries, namely Holy Cross Catholic Cemetery in Chai Wan, Tsuen Wan Chinese Permanent Cemetery, Tao Fong Shan Christian Cemetery in Sha Tin and Muslim Cemetery in Happy Valley, are providing similar services.
